What happens when the measure developer clicks generate impact profiles?

For every eTRM.permutation for the draft measure package:

  1. CEDARS expands eTRM "Any" values into all valid options for fields BldgType, BldgHVAC, and BldgLoc

  2. CEDARS queries the TechIDs and UEC data for the measure and baseline(s); logic for which fields to take depends on MeasAppType, see table below

The logic to determine which eTRM fields are used to generate the impact profile.

  1. CEDARS then computes normalized 8760 hourly impact profiles for the combinations of measure and base TechID present in the eTRM permutation data.

On failure anywhere cedars rolls back everything created so far and raises IMPACT_PROFILE_GENERATION_ERROR

On success cedars triggers generate_quarterly_costs_and_send_to_cet.
