Sort Order Changes

We're making a change to the datatype for some columns. This affects the way data is stored and the way it is sorted when it's returned to you. We're currently using an older storage method which is nearing the end of its support lifetime, and the change is required to unblock some critical upgrades. It's a fairly large set of work, so we're rolling it out incrementally. Most of it won't be visible to you. The only place it should be visible to you, the end user, is in the sorting.

The sort order remains case-insensitive; both of these sort orders on Program ID are valid:

SW_ETP_Gas
SW_ETP_Gas
SW_ETP_GAS

SW_ETP_Gas
SW_ETP_GAS
SW_ETP_Gas

Searching for field etc. will still ignore case. The one thing you may notice is that some lists sort a little differently when IDs contain hyphens or underscores. The current sort order ignores hyphens and underscores. The new sort order includes hyphens and underscores before alphanumerics when sorting.
