PA Confirmed dashboard – SavingsDate field present but blank

Testing Feedback

The Record-level Measure Input and Cost Effectiveness Output download from the PA Confirmed Dashboard includes the SavingsDate field, but it is blank for all records.

Expected Result:

  • SavingsDate is populated for each record with the correct value used for validation.

Actual Result:

  • The SavingsDate field is present but empty in all rows of the export.

Action Needed:

  • Investigate why the field is not being populated.

  • Confirm that the logic used to determine SavingsDate is functioning as expected.

  • Ensure that this value reflects the actual date used in validation

    Hi Erika,

    I’m confirming that I can see the savings date field populated. Details are attached below.

    Thanks to the CEDARS team for the fix.


    However, if one or more DATEs that are part of the DATE rules have the same value, then looking at the savings date value, the user cannot determine which DATE field was actually used in the claim validation. Added an example below for reference. Would it be possible to populate the name of the DATE in addition to the DATE value in the savings_date field? Thank you.

      That is a valid point @RoopaReddy_PGE . I should have specified the output format of the field to the development team. I have added that feedback.

    Hi Roopa,

    We’ve added a fix to the testing environment so that the savings_date field is now populating when using your test file as an upload. Can you please re-test this? Thank you for your patience!

    Hi Erika, I re-tested the SavingsDate field. I do see the Download Claim Inputs link in cedars-3 active dashboard; I also see the savings_date field in the download. However, the field is still empty. My sample test data has comments = ‘test Savings Date’ in the download. My test upload is https://cedars-3.cpuc.ca.gov/claims/upload-summary/509/. Thank you.

    Hi Roopa,

    I apologize, the Download Claim Inputs link should now be available on the active dashboard. The attached image is what I’m currently seeing at https://cedars-3.cpuc.ca.gov/claims/active-dashboard/PGE/.

    Once this file is downloaded, the savings_date field is now present, but empty. When re-uploading while testing this out on our end, we did find that the column did populate with data as expected when meeting the validation rules (listed below).

    Referencing the Claim.ApplicationDate validation

    • When Measure.DeliveryType = 'UpDeemed'
      and Measure.Upstream_Flag equals true
      then ShipmentDate
      (if ShipmentDate is null then ApplicationDate)

    • When Measure.DeliveryType = 'UpDeemed'
      and Measure.Upstream_Flag equals false
      then SalesDate
      (if SalesDate is null then ApplicationDate)

    • When Measure.DeliveryType = 'DnDeemed'
      then PermitIssuanceDate
      (if PermitIssuanceDate is null then the field with the earliest date of ApplicationDate, InstallationDate, and ComplianceCertDate)

    • When Measure.DeliveryType = 'DnDeemDI'
      then PermitIssuanceDate
      (if PermitIssuanceDate is null then the field with the earliest date of ApplicationDate and InstallationDate)

    If you still find that the savings_date is not populating as expected, can you please provide the test file you are using. Thank you!

    Hi Erika, I uploaded a test file https://cedars-3.cpuc.ca.gov/claims/upload-summary/505/, ran the CET, and downloaded the output from the active dashboard (image attached). However, I've noticed that the Savings Date is missing from the download.


    Additionally, I can't seem to find the "Download Claim Inputs" link you mentioned. Please advise.

    Hi Roopa,

    I believe we have the SavingsDate field up on the active dashboard and ready for testing. Once you try uploading again, this field should be in the file which downloads when the Download Claim Inputs link is clicked.

    @cedars team SavingsDate field cannot be tested unless we coordinate with the other IOUs to confirm their SW claims, followed by our PA claims confirmation. Once the development to include SavingsDate in the active dashboard cet output is completed, it would be easy to test this. Thanks.
