As a CEDARS user, I want to easily opt in or out of communications and updates, so that I can control the type and frequency of information I receive from the website.
Opt-In Process:
Users should be presented with an option to subscribe to updates (emails, updates, etc.) during the registration process, through their account settings or at log-in.
The subscription option must include details on the types of communications they are opting into. The subscription option will state what data will be used for communication purposes and ensure compliance with applicable privacy laws.
A confirmation email is sent upon successful subscription, verifying the opt-in action.
Opt-Out Process:
Users can easily unsubscribe from communication through:
A clearly visible "unsubscribe" link in each email sent by the website.
Their account settings, where they can manage subscription preferences.
Users who unsubscribe should receive a confirmation of the successful opt-out action.
The userβs preference should be updated immediately and reflect in the communication system within 24 hours.
As a CEDARS user, I want emails sent by CEDARS to be in HTML format instead of plain text to make them more visually appealing and easier to read.
Description:
We could make emails sent by CEDARS much nicer to read and more precise and compact by sending HTML instead of plain text emails.
CEDARS users, including program administrators and stakeholders, receive various notifications and reports via email. Currently, these emails are sent in plain text format, making them less engaging and more challenging to navigate, which can lead to misinterpretation of important information and user disengagement.
