Make Changelog button visible on all pages

I’d like to leverage the changelog to capture changes that affect data and make this visible on all pages. If all pages is not advisable, then it should be available on pages that have data access.

usecase: CEC asked me why there were large discrepancies in the record level data beginning in 2023. The reason is because when the CEDARS dashboards were updated in 2023 to display gross savings in the gross savings fields for C&S, it made things appear as if there were I am including the URL for the spec page where the changelog is located.

    The changelog link has been added to the footer and is now accessible across all pages.

    The changelog widget is available for tested on cedars-2 data & reports tab.

    We will first add the changelog widget to the Data & Reports module so that it’s configured when we release the new portfolio metrics dashboard.

    I have merged an older ticket with this new request regarding the rollout of the Featurebase changelog in all other modules.

    I agree that we should consider implementing something in the footer so it appears on every page.

    Over the past year, there has been a significant amount of added functionality in Featurebase that could be worth reviewing, such as the all-in-one widget.

    When we update the Budget Filings, we can also roll out the changelog in that modules specification page.

    Detail from the priority list:

    • Keeping it up to date.

    • Consider an email notification for changes (SCE).

    • Consider location of change log within the site. (SDGE)

    • On Quarterly Claims tab, there is a What's new section with a change log (link is broken) and a value list that would be helpful to call out updates for so that users can download in advance (Fronteir)
