Distiguish master metered multifamily residences. Do we need to add two flags for ElectricMasterMeter and GasMasterMeter or does one flags suffice?

        Hi @Roopa Reddy, I’m working with our SAP Team to feed our enrollment system with the necessary data point(s) to identify multi-family residences.

        Does PGE’s SAID refer to “Service Agreement Identification Number” assignment? And, does the 10-digit SAID call out if the residence is electric and/or gas master-metered?

          @ggreen I can confirm that SAID does indeed stand for Service Agreement Identification Number. This identifier does not indicate whether a residence is electric or gas master metered. Instead, PG&E uses the service type code (E, G) to specify whether the SAID relates to electric or gas service.

          Additionally, our system tracks fields for both dwelling type and whether a location is master-metered. For your reference, here’s how the dwelling type is coded in our system:

          - When SITE_DWELLING_TYPE is 'COMMON AREA' or 'SHARED WALL RES', it’s classified as multi-family ('MF').

          - When it’s 'DETACHED RES', it’s considered single-family ('SF').

          - Any other value defaults to 'UNKNOWN' for the dwelling type code.

    Is there any conditional validation required for these fields?

      I’m a little foggy on our approach here. Will there be two fields? Will they be True/False? And can both of them be True?

      I’m trying to understand the requirements, but all we have to work with is “Distiguish master metered multifamily residences.” If anyone has more information on this, it will help us coordinate and prepare our internal systems to adopt it. Thanks!

        We have two boolean fields (0 for false, 1 for true)

        ElectricMasterMeter_Flag

        Flag used to identify whether a site is a master metered multifamily residence for electric.

        GasMasterMeter_Flag

        Flag used to identify whether a site is a master metered multifamily residence for gas.

        There is no conditional validation applied to these fields, so you could have both of them true; whether that makes sense from a policy perspective, I can’t speak to that.
