How are leap years handled in custom impact profiles?
For custom impact profiles produced during a leap year, only the first 8,760 hours of data should be retained and stored; the hourly data for the last day of the year should be dropped. This is done so that the impact profile’s day-of-week pattern is aligned with those in the avoided cost arrays since weekday/weekend energy usage differences can be significant.
Do custom impact profiles require special handling for daylight saving time?
Since custom impact profiles are stored without timestamps but only an integer between 1 and 8,760 to indicate the hour of the year, the need for special handling during daylight saving time is eliminated.
